What this policy covers
This policy describes the CurrencyQuest iOS app and this website. CurrencyQuest teaches Mexican peso skills and provides cash calculations. It does not process merchant payments or verify banknote authenticity.
Learning progress and settings
The app stores learning progress, XP, streaks, completed stops, preferences, and scan-preview usage locally on your device. There is no CurrencyQuest account or cloud progress service in the current app. Your device backup settings may include local app data. Resetting progress removes learning progress; deleting the app removes local app data, subject to device backups.
Camera and on-device recognition
Camera access is optional and requested for scanning. Receipt and bill recognition run on the device. The current scanning flow does not send receipt or banknote images to a CurrencyQuest server or remote image-recognition service. Temporary captures are used to recognize text and display the result, and the app attempts to remove temporary images when the flow ends. Avoid scanning information you do not want on your device. Permission can be revoked in device Settings.
Purchases and service providers
Apple processes App Store purchases. RevenueCat helps manage and restore purchase access and may process an anonymous app-user identifier, purchase receipts or transaction information, entitlement status, and technical information needed for that service. CurrencyQuest does not receive your payment card number. These providers operate under their own policies and our applicable service arrangements.
Reference exchange rates
When online, the app may request a USD reference rate from ExchangeRate-API at open.er-api.com. The provider receives network request information such as IP address. Receipt images and your entered payment amount are not included in that request. Conversion figures are informational estimates.
Website and support
This website has no advertising pixels, analytics SDK, newsletter form, or application-level tracking cookies in this build. Hosting and network providers may process request information such as IP address, user agent, URL, and timestamps for delivery and security. If you email support, we receive the address and information you choose to send and use it to respond and resolve the issue. Do not send full receipts, payment card details, or other sensitive information unless necessary.
Retention and security
Local data remains until you reset relevant data or remove the app, subject to backups. We retain support correspondence as needed to handle requests and applicable legal obligations. Purchase and infrastructure records follow applicable provider and legal retention requirements. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
Your choices and requests
You can decline or revoke camera access, use manual entry, reset progress, delete the app, and manage Apple subscriptions separately. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal information. Contact the operator to request help; identity verification and lawful exceptions may apply. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Children, international processing, and updates
The service is not specifically designed to collect children’s personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent personal information should contact the operator. Service providers may process information in other countries. This policy will be updated when practices change, with the revision date shown here.
